How much does it cost?

Monthly bookkeeping starts at $199. Your actual price depends on your monthly expense volume and complexity. We publish starting prices for most services on the site and give you an exact number after a short conversation.

My books are months or years behind. Can you fix them?

Yes. Catch-up work is a regular part of what we do. Pricing is custom based on how far back we need to go and the condition of the records. We've handled everything from a few months of missed reconciliations to multi-year cleanups.

Is there a long-term contract?

No. Our monthly services are month-to-month and you can cancel anytime. The only fixed-scope work is one-time projects like catch-up bookkeeping or QuickBooks setup, where the project has a defined deliverable.

How do I send you documents?

We use a secure portal for document uploads and bank statement sharing. It takes a few minutes to get set up and we'll walk you through it. If you prefer email for certain items, that works too.

Do we need to meet in person?

Not required. Most clients work with us remotely through phone and video calls. If you'd rather meet face to face, our office is in Old Town Pasadena and we're happy to have you by.

What software do you work with?

QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop for general bookkeeping. Yardi for real estate and property management clients. ADP and Paychex for payroll. Dennis also has professional experience with SAP and Sage Intacct from his corporate roles.

What do I need to do each month?

Share bank and credit card access, upload receipts we can't pull automatically, and answer the occasional question when something needs clarification. Most clients spend less than 20 minutes a month on bookkeeping tasks on their end.

Do you handle payroll?

Yes. We offer one-time payroll system setup and training if you want to run it yourself, or full-service payroll where we handle pay runs, tax deposits, quarterly filings, and year-end W-2s. We work in ADP and Paychex.

Do you file taxes?

We don't file income taxes directly. We prepare clean, tax-ready books so your CPA has everything they need. We do handle 1099 preparation and filing, and we manage California sales tax from calculation to submission.

How quickly will you respond?

We respond to emails and calls within one business day. For existing clients with urgent items, response is usually much faster. Dennis handles client communication directly, so you're not going through a ticket system.

How soon can you start?

Usually within a week of the first call. If your books are current, we move straight into monthly service. If cleanup is needed, we start there and transition into ongoing work once everything is caught up.
